RS Prussia Pierced Handle Iris Mold Celery Tray

$85.00

This is a really beautifully colored unmarked celery dish by R.S. Prussia.
Lots of Teals and Pinks!

In the wonderful "Iris Mold". (circa 1900) It has a very pretty floral transfer with wild poppies in pink. The background is pastel teals and greens. The blown out irises are violet with rust and gold accents. Pierced hand cut handles.

Condition is excellent for the age of this antique dish with wear to the gold on the edges and a couple small shallow flakes. The small center tip has a 1/8 inch circle where the mostly only the glaze is chipped off. The other one is on the lower right side, it looks almost triangular and a little deeper. I show these in close ups below. The edges are otherwise smooth except for one iris tip that is a little bit rough. No hairlines or cracks.

The transfer is in very good condition with little wear but there is a manufacturing flaw below the center flowers that looks like there was a little wrinkle when made.

This lovely colorful dish displays beautifully!
