Dugan Diamond Glass Co.(circa 1925)
I believe this is a SCARCE stretch glass mug by Dugan Diamond Glass Co. of Indiana PA. It is shown with souvenir writing on it in the "Dugan/Diamond" book by William Heacock on page 111. Also shown in "American Iridescent Stretch Glass" by Madeley & Shetlar on page 31, also with writing. This one does not have the souvenir writing but is same handled mug with interior optic in colonial style with light iridescence. The color is a beautiful blue with a hint of turquoise. It reflects a lavender iridescence when seen in person. Displays Nicely! CONDITION- Has a shallow 1/4 inch shallow flake on a mold line of the bottom rim, seen only from the side view. Handle and rim are smooth with no flaws. There are a couple straw marks on the outside and on the inside there is a line that could be an internal crack but I think it is just a shear line. It is smooth on the outside and feels like a slight scratch on the inside.
SIZE- 5 inches tall x
3-3/8 inches diameter rim.
Base diameter is 2 5/8 inches.
